Eclipse of Perception explores the fragile and often fractured relationship between what we see and what is. This large-scale work delves into the unsettling terrain between perception and reality — a place where clarity dims and certainty wavers. The moody palette and shifting textures reflect a world not fully illuminated, evoking the feeling of an eclipse — that fleeting moment when light is overtaken and vision is obscured.
The word “obvious” appears as both a visual element and a contradiction, provoking the viewer to question assumptions and challenge what is taken for granted. In a culture addicted to clarity and control, Eclipse of Perception insists on ambiguity, on mystery — it resists being fully understood.
The number 94, quietly embedded within the work, references an angel number symbolizing transformation, divine support, and unseen guidance. It introduces the idea that hidden forces — whether spiritual, emotional, or subconscious — are always in play, even when we cannot perceive them.
This piece is not about answers, but presence. It invites viewers to surrender to the unknown, to sit with discomfort, and to acknowledge that truth may lie just beyond what the eye can see.
